Perfect Surge Protector
I am sure the surge function works fine, but my favorite part is the 12v and 5v outputs on this device. I use it to power all sorts of devices behind TVs and it has been a life saver. It is really the only one we use behind TVs anymore.

Power cord provided is useless
For an in-wall installation the power cord is too short and the prongs on the cord are oriented on a strange angle which make plugging it in very difficult, if not impossible. If you can get it plugged in the cord is stretched so tight that it pits a strain on the plugged ends. Very poor design. If the cord was 2 inches longer there would be no problem.

Perfect for our needs
Nice compact style, easily fit behind our flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Only complaint is if you want to mount the unit with screws into the wall - the way the three printed outlet is orientated - you cannot actually utilize the screw in mount. Since the prong faces the wall - and is too close to actually plug anything in that requires the prong (like the actual TV). The plug in should have been reversed. Therefore we could not really mount it - but the cord is short enough - so I was able to place it behind one of the mounting brackets - so it could stay and be within easy access.
Also I assumed the green switch/power on/off would light up when turned on and working - it does not light up - but the product does work fine.
Overall met our needs, compact and easy to install.
