The SANUS Foundations Designer Series DFV49 is a three-shelf AV stand featuring an innovative construction of rich, mocha-finished hardwood and strong tempered glass. This unique design provides an enclosed look, while smoked tempered-glass doors will not block infrared remote controls. The DFV49 easily handles large AV components and TVs up to 52", featuring four steel back panels that can be removed individually for additional depth, or to allow easy cabling and maintenance. Multi-adjustable hinges provide smooth movement and perfect door alignment. Extremely Difficult Assembly
I purchased this piece 2 weeks ago and the pieces are still sitting in the middle of my floor. It is extremely difficult to fully seat the screws that secure the plastic end caps to the wood legs. When I sent an email to customer support, they simply instructed me to apply more force. The instructions (which were missing from the box) simply listed a philips screwdriver as the only tool needed, not a body builder. Every night I try to tighten the screws until my hands hurt. I even purchased a power screwdriver with no success. My next step is to take a leg to Home Depot to perhaps purchase a smaller diameter screw.
In addition, the parts were poorly packaged. Parts were just thrown in the box. I have a couple of legs with chips. I would recommend your engineering department study the packaging of Mayline. I purchased a piece from them a week after this one and it only took me 3 hours to put together and it was a much bigger piece of furniture.
I'm sure once I eventually get it put together, I will love it. The smoked glass looks rich, but right now I am extremely disappointed, especially considering the price I paid for this piece of furniture.
