Sanus Motorized Mount Rocks!
Everyone who sees this mount is amazed! Operation is very easy, you have 4 positions that you can set it to go automatically... Plus the "In" button which will completely put the tv close to the wall and "Out" button which will completely detract the tv away from the wall. Other positions are possible by using the arrow buttons. The universal remote included can also control up to 4 devices. Operation is considerably quiet and un-intrusive... You won't even know that it's moving unless you're on an angle to the tv and see part of the side. I used it for my 52" lcd tv and it is rock solid. My tv weighed 70 lbs and the mount also weighed close to that, so I had to add extra support behind my wall to make sure it can carry the weight. Cables are all hidden inside the mount's covers and into the wall. I highly recommend this product!

Great product
Very good construction, engineered well and easy to assemble. Does exactly what they said and what their product info states. I have a 55 inch Visio mounted and glad that I don’t have to get up and manually adjust the TV position - all done from the captain’s chair. I ran every cable this TV can handle (includes 4 thick HDMI inwall cables) and this unit doesn’t stress. Enough bar room to tie your cabling to. On my unit you cannot see any cabling including 2 power cables and it all goes through the Sanus unit. If the TV mounting bolts are less than 17.5 in apart then you must get the mounting adapter cross bars - about $50. Utilizing the adapter bars is actually a plus - gives you an extra 2 in and additional places to tie your cabling to so you will not see any of it. Overall, the TV with mount shut down sits approx 10in off the wall.

DIY installation
The LA112 is a rock solid and well assembled unit that can be installed by a Do It Yourself person. Installation instructions were good... as far as they went.
Hole adapter brackets may be needed if your TV mounting holes are not within the specified spacing range. (Mine needed the horizontal extentions for my 52 inch set.) The adapters, if required, are sold seperately and the price varies with the source. All other hardware is shipped with the unit, including several screw and bolt sizes to cover most situations.
I feel that DIY installers would benefit from additional detail in "routing the signal and power cables" inside of the LA112. (I routed my cables through the wall, so that they were not visible when the installation was complete.) Making these wires too long can result in them being cut by the motion mechanics; while cables that are too short can fatigue and/or snap; or at a minimum break the cable ties used to secure these wires in place.
Aside from cable routing, the installation went smoothly and everything functioned as advertised. If you are not routing wires through the wall, this unit can easily be installed in an afternoon.
Upon completion of the install, I "programmed" two presets for normal viewing positions and as a result we virtually never need to drive the unit from location to location... we just press the position preset buttons.
